India is a land of diverse culture, religion, people and traditions. Each state flourishes within its unique, diverse richness of folk culture- of art, music, dance and literature. Having grown up amidst and within the Bengali culture and as I have gradually explored it to some extent; the idea of ‘Love’ within the Bengali folk tradition is generally associated with “Radha-Krishna” and the Vaishnava tradition. Nature is repleted with love in its various forms and degrees.But this idea of love, is not limited only to a love story , but has variant shades within itself – most importantly the roots of “love” lies in the earthiness of nature. I intend showcase the aestheticvalue of nature and love through its embodiment within the living forms. An artist creates an eternal image using the palettes of his/her mind tinged with the colours of nature.
