In the late seventies of the past century I had decided to use wash technique of painting with water colour, though I did not get any guidance to proceed. At that time I got hold of the most extraordinary and precious book "SILPACHARCHA" by NANDALAL BOSE. I got the necessary guidance from this book and followed minutely. Mainly I work on poplin cloth tempered by glue and apply watercolour always in wet condition and follow the classical process mentioned on that particilar book. Gradually some addition and altertions took place in the process as I reached this platform. My paintings are an amalgamtion of human life, myth and folk-culture and my intention is to capture its very magic.
